Prakriti and I

Now live with them, now bear the consequences.” That’s a curse. So, this is always to be kept in mind – “I do not know my own good.” Can you remember this?

The Real Meaning of "All is One"

The mind suffers because of the choices that it makes, thinking of one object as superior than the other object. “All is one” is not an objective statement. “All is one” refers, not to the objects, but to the subject and the relationship that the subject strikes with the various objects. The resistance that you give to any particular thought is exactly the energy that, that thought carries. You give no resistance to it and thought will fall down on its own.

The way Maslow constructed his pyramid is good, but not very exact. The ladder goes like “Food, security, self-esteem, and only then self-actualization.” No, that is not how it actually is. Self-actualization is not the top of the pyramid; it is the foundation of everything that you do; it is the foundation of your activity even when you are fulfilling your lower needs. Whatever you do, your entire universe, all your deeds, thoughts, purposes, motivations—all arises for the sake of actualization.

Who am I?' arises from a relatively unconscious state, simply meaning, 'I will not remain the one who asked it.' You will have to become conscious. So the one who asks this question will have to disappear to get the answer. 'Who am I?' is for the wise, who are no longer interested in remaining troubled.

‘My life, my rules’. Whose life? Whose rules? Even this phrase, ‘my life, my rules’ is not coming from your own life. Even this rule, that if it’s my life, it has to be my rules, even this rule is not your own. So, you are being ruled by someone else when you say ‘my rules’. Even in saying ‘my rules’, it is somebody else’s rules that you are following and you still remain a slave, a slave by another name.
