Real is directly Real, unreal is indirectly Real || Acharya Prashant (2013)

Listener: What is Reality?

Speaker: What is reality? That which includes- that which appears real and that which appears unreal. Real is directly real; unreal is indirectly real. Everything is real. The real is directly real, the unreal is indirectly real but everything is real. Even when we say it is unreal, its base is in the reality. It is just that it is indirect.

The worst and lowest kind of ignorance comes from the truth. Even the meanest desire is the desire of the ultimate, so it is alright. It is just that the mind will suffer till it does not realize this. Even when you want to do all kind of rubbish, it is alright. It is all happening in the ultimate. That way it is sacred. You may ‘kill’, ‘rape’, ‘steal’,’loot’,…. It is all happening in the ultimate. And in someway it is leading to the ultimate but it will give you suffering, till you realize this.

So the point is not about what is happening, the point is about- ‘whether I am realizing it?’ Right? All is real but whether ‘I’ realize that.

“I REALIZE”… not “THE REALITY”.. “I HAVE TO BE IN REALITY”. This ‘I’ is the cause of suffering and this ‘I’ has to be submerged in the reality. Do it !

All is real. Everything is wonderful. Death is ‘in life’, unreal is ‘in real’.

But do you realize that death is in life and death is not end of life? That life is to take and continue with that example of that vast container, that – life is a vast container which contains both ‘birth’ and ‘death’. ‘Birth’ does not mean the beginning of life and ‘death’ does not mean the end of life.

‘Life’ is birth and death happen within it. So, wonderful ! Death is as real as birth, as real as anything else, but you will suffer because of the fear of death till you realize this. Till you realize this.

All is real. There is nothing unreal. That is it ….. nothing! All is real.
