HIDP is an experiential journey inward — addressing what formal education often misses: education of the self. Through role plays, recitation, music, presentations, extempore, reading, writing, group discussions, and skits, participants bring these teachings into their everyday thoughts, relationships, choices, and actions.
It began with a question: what is education truly meant to do?
Founded by Acharya Prashant — IIT Delhi and IIM Ahmedabad alumnus — HIDP emerged from a deeper inquiry into human life beyond careers, achievements, and conventional measures of success. After leaving behind a corporate career, he dedicated himself to the fundamental questions that shape human existence: confusion, fear, desire, relationships, and the search for meaning.
In 2006, he founded Advait Life-Education, through which HIDP was introduced as an initiative to work on the individual behind the résumé — not just preparing people for professions, but helping them understand themselves and live intelligently.
A ten-activity journey of self-inquiry — from the roles we play to the seeking beneath them.
