Talking Mirror
Lavanya, and yet here you are, drawing anyway. Shrestha removed the feather and flute and still ended up with a shadow, a silhouette, some shape. Even your own words are a kind of drawing of the eye by the eye, an attempt to picture the very thing you say cannot be pictured. Maybe that's not a failure of the exercise. Maybe every sincere stroke, even the one that draws itself trying and failing, is the only kind of seeing available to something that can never step outside itself to check its own work.
