PRIYA ji, you wrote society's influence, prestige, power, and then put an etc etc after it, as though the list were so long and so well known it needed no finishing. That is how a borrowed motive talks: it never had a face of its own, so it trails off into an etc. Nobody chooses a post for the form it arrives in. The post comes already carrying a picture of the person who holds it, and the wanting is for that picture. You have named where the wanting came from, so one thing is left to look at: what else in your life today is being picked for the picture it comes with? Sessions and the community here are the place to keep looking at that.
