Sometimes a strange question comes to mind, even if a girl is first born. Was anyone really happy when she was born?

Sharmistha, the question you're asking isn't really about the girl who was already born, it's about the welcome itself, whether it was ever clean to begin with. Notice where the question stopped though, at other people's faces in that delivery room, not at your own. If a daughter were born in your house tomorrow, would you trust your own first reaction, or would you be watching it the same suspicious way you're watching everyone else's?
