From the worldly or materialistic lens, the price tag decides the worthness of any product/art. From an artistic lens, however, the inherent value of a creation and its recognition can be poles apart. So, how much do people value you and how valuable you are cannot be measured with the same lens. To sum up, external validation and intrinsic human worth cannot be measured by the same standard.
