Avanti, you've laid out horizontal and vertical almost like a textbook definition, and that itself is worth noticing. Chris's mistake was thinking a place could do the work only seeing can do. But writing a clean answer about that mistake can quietly become its own place to arrive at, a tidy resting spot called I understand the difference now.
