I think most of the limits that I experience today have been imposed by me or are taught to be imposed by my parents. And they were conditioned by their parents. There are circumstancial limitations for sure but I have chosen to live my life around those limitations. I chose to think more and more about how limited I am by my fate. I chose to be limited and to be defined by those limitations.
Chandrani, you've traced it three generations deep, your parents, their parents, and then you still land on I chose. That's the part worth sitting with, the chain of inheritance explains where the limit came from, but it doesn't explain why you kept polishing it. A fence someone else built is just a fence. A fence you keep repainting every morning has become something you're maintaining, not merely enduring. What is it that the limitation gives you, that choosing to be unlimited wouldn't?
