Yesterday we had started a holistic development session for our newly entering 250 MBBS students. In this session we showed them a video of Acharyaji, in context to overthinking issue raised by a student, where Acharyaji stepwise explained about the object, and ego and the relationship between the object and ego as the thought process. He also explained about the repeated objects of desire as responsible for cycle of different thoughts flowing in the mind giving rise to overthinking. He also explained, when the desired object is away,it gives rise to greed, when the desired object is achieved that gives rise to pleasure or happiness and when the same is not achieved,it gives rise to pain. Similarly when the achieved object starts going away, fear appears. The students enjoyed the video. On asking,we could also find that, more than 10 students were already listening to Acharyaji. We had also arranged a book stall for all the students. Few of them purchased some books. Many of the students also interacted with our Geeta comunity members. One of the students was also asking for the higher phylosophy book of Acharya Prasant. We have also planned to have an wisdom shelf and will keep books authored by Acharyaji in our central library of the medical college, where the faculties and students can read and also issue the books of their choice. For bookstall, Geeta Community members Ms. Priyadarshini, Mr. Sudhir, Mr.Prateek and Ms. Sudeshna had joined us. Our faculty and Geeta community member Dr. Biswajit Mishra had coordinated the program. We have another 2 hours of wisdom activities for our students during the 15day long foundation course. I was unable to post in the comunity for last few days as I am in the hospital for last 15 days attending my ailing father.I am writing this post from hospital now.
