Swati Ji, notice what the sentence itself is carrying — ruining, destroying, soul, life. Patriarchy is real and its weight on women is real, but the question asked was about freedom, and the answer has arrived already soaked in finality, as if nothing remains but ruin. That is worth looking at in itself: when the mind reaches for the most totalising word available, is it seeing the actual structure clearly, or is it the ego's own grievance finding a large, respectable cause to pour itself into? The structure deserves precise naming, not the biggest word you can find. What, specifically, have you seen denied — whose opinion, in what situation — and what would it take to stay with that particular, rather than the sweeping verdict?
