I want to save my image, a good boy, good in studies.

Translate to Hindi

Mukesh ji, notice how specific that is — not just any image, but 'good boy, good in studies'. That's a particular mummy, built out of approval from parents and teachers, out of grades and praise. The question worth sitting with is not whether this image is false, but what happens in you when a result threatens it — when a mark slips, when someone doesn't call you good. Does the fear tell you something about studying itself, or about protecting a label that has nothing to do with learning? See whether the wanting to learn and the wanting to be seen as good are actually the same thing in you, or two different things you've been calling by one name.
