16 months with Gita. And today, a racket in my hand. It's been 1 year and 4 months since I started attending Acharyaji's Gita sessions, and honestly, the "results" don't look the way I expected when I began. I didn't get more peaceful in the way people imagine peace soft, passive, withdrawn. What I got instead was a slow, uncomfortable sensitivity to my own Vritti (tendencies) my own conditioning, my own patterns, the quiet inertia I used to mistake for personality. The Gita, as Acharyaji teaches it, was never sold to me as scripture to be worshipped. It was handed over as a mirror. And mirrors don't flatter they just show. Over these months, that mirror kept showing me where I was stagnant, where I was avoiding, where I called comfort "contentment" when it was really just fear of movement. Today I started something new: racket sports. It sounds like a small thing, almost unrelated to a spiritual journey. But it isn't unrelated at all. It's a direct consequence. Arjuna wasn't asked to sit still and feel enlightened he was asked to rise. The Gita's yoga was never about flexibility or stillness for its own sake; it was about inner invincibility meeting outer action. Passion for life over withdrawal from it. War outside, peace within. For over a year I sat with ideas. Today I moved because of them. Picking up a racket is a small, literal instance of what the sessions have been pointing at all along stop rehearsing your inertia, get on the court, function with stability while the ball is coming at you. I don't know where this new habit goes. I'm not attached to becoming good at it, or to it lasting forever. That's the other half of what's changed in me doing the right next thing without gripping the outcome. Today the right next thing was simple: show up and play. Grateful to Acharyaji not for making my life easier, but for making it move.❤️🔥
