I'm sorry if my words gave you impression that I was asking you to give up gym. It's not like I’m telling you to stop going to the gym. Besides anyone can tell how much you are into it from your post My inquiry was slightly different. I’m trying to understand how far women should go in pursuing physical strength Taking your analogy a step further: A home provides a shelter, and a livelihood fulfils our basic needs, but both are merely means to an end. They are the vehicles that carry us towards something greater, the destination we may aspire to reach. Neither necessarily defines the purpose of our existence, just as a vehicle or a tool to help us reach our destination They are valuable insofar as they serve a purpose of carrying us to our destination, but can never become the destination itself Physical strength, in much the same way, has its value, to the extent it serves our health. Beyond that, I don’t see the need to put so much time and effort in beefing up There has to be more to our existence than the mere pursuit of physical strength. Surely, there are much greater purposes worthy of our devotion, time and energy
