Acharya Prashant addresses the common dilemma of students who feel disinterested in their studies yet desire to make their parents proud. He explains that pride and happiness cannot be given to others if one does not possess them within. According to the basic law of existence, an individual can only radiate what they have; if one is filled with boredom, dullness, and irritation, they will inevitably spread those same qualities to their parents. Therefore, the first requirement for making others happy is to be happy oneself, as a suffering person only spreads more suffering.
