Description

Acharya Prashant explains that an individual's path must be unique because everyone is conditioned and programmed differently. Since each person is located at a different point away from their true center, the right action must necessarily differ for everyone. He argues that morality is hollow because it relies on general prescriptions and commandments, whereas right action depends on one's specific state of awareness. A true teacher does not prescribe actions or act as an instructor; instead, they act as an illuminator who helps remove obstacles to light so that the individual can use their own divine intelligence to decide their direction. He warns that imposing inappropriate paths or pearls of wisdom on others causes suffering, and because the universe is one, that suffering inevitably returns to the giver. Prescribing unsuitable paths to others reveals one's own lack of self-knowledge and only serves to inflate the ego.
