Acharya Prashant addresses the common misconception that spiritual methods or techniques are rigid, historical formulas that must be followed to achieve results. He explains that while many masters like Shri Krishna, Patanjali, and Osho have provided various methods, the efficacy of these methods does not lie in the physical act itself but in the practitioner's surrender and devotion. He argues that a method is merely a 'gift' given in love; without the underlying love and the dissolution of the ego, the method remains a hollow ritual. He emphasizes that the true purpose of any spiritual instruction is to break the ego's resistance and foster a state of openness and flexibility.
