Acharya Prashant addresses a seeker who feels conflicted between the worldly responsibilities of family and the spiritual call for liberation. He explains that one cannot ignore the facts of life, such as having a wife and children, nor can one suppress the inner urge for truth. The wise approach is not to view the physical body and its extensions—family and worldly duties—as obstacles, but to transform them into instruments for liberation. Just as the body is used to see, hear, and move toward what provides freedom, one's social and familial environment should be utilized as fuel for the spiritual journey. He further clarifies that since the body is the center of one's worldly existence, relationships like marriage and parenthood are essentially extensions of the body. Instead of lamenting these bonds as misfortunes, one should take responsibility and guide their family toward spirituality. Acharya Prashant emphasizes that the fruits of past actions must be faced while inhabiting the body; there is no liberation without settling these accounts. He advises the seeker to fulfill these obligations cheerfully rather than with suffering, as the payment of one's karmic debts is inevitable and should be done with a smile.
