Acharya Prashant explains the fundamental difference between necessity and greed, defining necessity as that which pertains to the present moment and greed as the accumulation for an imagined future. He uses the analogy of a camel's hump to illustrate how the body and mind store resources out of a sense of insecurity. When questioned about whether this perspective hinders progress, he challenges the conventional definition of progress. He argues that what people typically call progress is merely the accumulation of money and material possessions, which often leads to greed and subsequent mental slavery.
