Not an Army.? || Acharya Prashant, IIT Kharagpur (2025) Context: - In this video, Acharya Ji explains that the popular narrative of India once being a great superpower that was defeated only through British treachery and cunning is historically and logically flawed. By the time the British arrived, India's per capita GDP was already significantly lower than Britain's, and the real decline had begun as far back as the 10th century. The root cause was a philosophical shift away from the empowering non-dual teachings of Vedanta, which placed the highest potential within the individual, toward an externally imposed fatalism that made people believe their destiny was controlled by outside forces. This psychological surrender made India vulnerable long before any foreign power arrived. The West was busy questioning, mapping, and mastering the skies through astronomy and science, while India had drifted toward astrology, rituals, and blind faith. It was this gap in rational inquiry and inner sovereignty, not just political treachery, that enabled colonization. Most alarmingly, the same fatalistic tendencies that caused India's downfall centuries ago remain deeply embedded in Indian culture today, making the question of true sovereignty still very much unresolved. ➖➖➖➖➖➖ 🎧 Listen to #AcharyaPrashant on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3f0KFwe...
