Description

Acharya Prashant observes that people often lack individuality and critical thinking, behaving like a herd that easily accepts whatever narrative is presented to them. He points out that for decades, people blindly accepted Mahatma Gandhi as the 'Father of the Nation' without truly studying his life or writings. Now, when new narratives emerge portraying Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru in a negative light, people are equally quick to believe those claims without any personal investigation or factual verification. He emphasizes that because people have not read the works of these leaders, they remain ignorant of their true character and contributions. He further explains that this lack of genuine knowledge makes the public susceptible to manipulation by external forces. Whether it is the praise of Mahatma Gandhi's simple life or the modern accusations against his character, people accept both extremes without seeking the truth. Acharya Prashant also highlights the irony in modern attitudes toward Jawaharlal Nehru. While people take great pride in Indian-origin CEOs leading global companies, they fail to acknowledge that the educational institutions like the IITs and IIMs, which produced these leaders, were established by Jawaharlal Nehru. He concludes that without self-study and a quest for facts, individuals remain like sheep, easily pushed in any direction by whoever holds influence.
