Description

Acharya Prashant explains that the 'new path' is, in reality, an individual path. While the destination is new, the path to it will be personal. Everyone has to create their own path out of the old jungles towards a shared, new destination. This destination is called 'new' because it is not a part of the old jungle. We are born in a jungle, which is both outside and inside us. Everyone is in this jungle, at different places and in different circumstances, but they are still in the jungle. What is outside the jungle is new; the jungle itself is very ancient and old, characterized by repetition. This jungle, full of repetition, is our life. The path must be carved through this jungle, which makes it an individual journey. It is a personal path that must be navigated according to one's specific circumstances. Where you stand in the jungle determines which path leads out. One person's path cannot be another's. The path of ancient sages or even today's successful people cannot be your path. You cannot imitate the path of a realized person because they did what was right for them; you must do what is right for you. However, this does not mean you can choose any random path based on your whims. The condition is that the path you create must lead you out of the jungle, towards liberation, and not deeper into darkness. This is a responsibility that everyone must bear alone. Those who have found the new light before you can, at most, give you the confidence that if they found it, you can too. But their light cannot become your light. Just as they struggled and created their own path, you too must create your own. The help of any guide or guru is limited; they cannot walk your path for you. The key is to remain constantly alert, observing whether your actions are leading towards light or darkness, peace or restlessness, freedom or slavery. If you maintain this alertness, then have faith that you will gradually cut through the jungle and move forward.
