Acharya Prashant describes the origins and evolution of his foundation, starting from his post-MBA corporate career. Initially, he took a corporate job to settle his education loan but spent his weekends teaching leadership concepts at management institutes. He realized that true global change requires an internal transformation of the human being. This led to the creation of Adwait Life Education in late 2005, where he developed the Holistic Individual Development Program (HIDP) for engineering and management students. The curriculum took a decisively spiritual turn in 2008 with activities like 'Kabir in Campus' and 'So Said the Sages', which introduced Upanishadic wisdom to students. This shift faced significant resistance from students, parents, and college managements who prioritized immediate career results over internal growth. To address this resistance, Acharya Prashant began personally conducting large-scale interactions called 'Samvad' across numerous campuses. He describes these sessions as intense 'boxing matches' where he had to address the students' everyday problems, such as anxiety, using spiritual wisdom without relying on metaphysical jargon. These recorded interactions formed the basis of his early YouTube content. In 2015, to remove institutional intermediaries and reach a wider audience, the Prashant Adwait Foundation was established. The foundation transitioned from a captive campus audience to a public platform where individuals joined out of their own free will. Many early team members were former HIDP students who helped distribute books and manage operations. This journey eventually led to the regular organization of wisdom camps and the publication of extensive spiritual literature based on these dialogues.
