Acharya Prashant discusses the suppression of information regarding the link between meat consumption and climate change, citing a deleted United Nations tweet as an example of how powerful lobbies and pressure groups prioritize industry profits and human sensibilities over environmental truths. He asserts that while overpopulation is the root cause of climate change on a broad scale, meat consumption is the primary driver at the level of individual choices. He emphasizes that the meat and dairy industries are inextricably linked, explaining that the dairy industry cannot exist without the meat industry. He argues that those who consume dairy products are indirectly supporting the meat market, as animals are raised for both their milk and their eventual resale value as meat to remain economically viable for owners.
