Acharya Prashant highlights the severe environmental and cultural degradation occurring in the Himalayas, particularly in Rishikesh. He describes how activities like rafting have become synonymous with vulgarity and noise pollution, where tourists engage in behavior they wouldn't dare in their own cities. He notes that even sacred spaces like the banks of the Ganga are being commercialized and desecrated with obscene songs and abusive language, which he interprets as a manifestation of suppressed lust and a lack of spiritual depth. He criticizes the local authorities for prioritizing revenue over the sanctity of the environment and the peace of the region.
