Acharya Prashant explains that attachment is a fundamental property of the physical universe, or Prakriti. Just as molecules in the physical world naturally attract and bond with one another over time and proximity, human attachment follows the same mechanical laws. He clarifies that attachment is strictly a physical phenomenon and has nothing to do with love. It occurs whenever two entities are kept in close proximity for a sufficient duration, leading to a bond that is often difficult and painful to break. This process is compared to a stain on a container or a lock that becomes stuck over years of disuse; it is simply the result of material interaction seeking stability or equilibrium.
