Acharya Prashant explains that while humanity has largely solved the problem of physical labor through technological progress, machines, and external energy sources, a more significant challenge remains: internal labor. In the past, humans were forced to work for survival, leaving little room for choice. Today, with increased leisure and fewer physical constraints, the burden has shifted to the mind. This internal labor manifests as constant conflict, indecision, and a lack of dedication to a chosen path. People often find themselves exhausted despite doing no physical work because of the friction between competing desires and thoughts within the ego.
