The ego, by its very nature, is incomplete and constantly tries to fill that incompleteness by collecting objects, starting from basic needs like food and shelter, moving to social status and power, and finally reaching subtle spiritual concepts like Samadhi and enlightenment. The more refined the object, the harder it is to spot the ego's game. A spiritual ego is far more dangerous than a material one because it genuinely believes it has transcended itself. Samadhi is not a state to be achieved or a milestone to be checked off. Since states keep changing and all states belong to the ego, any fixed "Samadhi state" would itself be an ego state. Instead, Samadhi points to a continuous, clear-eyed witnessing of everything that is happening, including the ego's own movements, without getting entangled in it. As long as the body exists, the ego exists, and the real work is simply to see this whole game for what it is, without pretending it has ended. ➖➖➖➖➖➖ 🎧 Listen to #AcharyaPrashant on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3f0KFwe...
