Acharya Prashant discusses a story about a seeker who lived in a hut provided by a wealthy woman for twenty years. To test his spiritual progress, the woman sent a young girl to seduce him. The seeker rejected her by claiming he was like an old, dry tree on a rock, unaffected by heat or cold. Upon hearing this, the woman ordered his hut to be burned and him expelled. Acharya Prashant explains that the seeker's reaction shows he had not achieved true spiritual growth. He had merely moved from one extreme to another. While an ordinary man feels it is necessary to accept such an invitation, the seeker felt it was necessary to reject it. Both are bound by fixed ideas and are not truly free.
