Acharya Prashant explains that spirituality is fundamentally about the purification of the actor or the allocator of resources. Using the analogy of a drunken person, he illustrates that an unstable or 'intoxicated' mind will misallocate finite resources like time, energy, and money toward trivial or harmful priorities. He emphasizes that the central priority for any individual, especially the youth, should be freedom from bondage. When one recognizes their state of inner and outer bondage, they naturally learn to allocate their maximum resources toward liberation and truth. He asserts that self-knowledge is crucial to understanding who is performing an action and where their desires originate, often revealing that these desires are implanted by external influences rather than being authentic.
