An IIT Kanpur student asks why privileged, educated people still indulge in corruption and malpractice despite being taught values. Acharya Ji points out that every subject we study is preceded by the word "I", yet the "I" itself is never examined. Drawing on the 2008 Lehman crisis, he shows how even PhDs in finance collapsed the global economy because they were operating on greed, not fundamentals. The learner who doesn't know himself becomes more dangerous with more knowledge, like a monkey armed with a nuclear missile. Referencing Swami Vivekananda and the Upanishadic concept of vidya and avidya, Acharya Ji argues that both world-knowledge and self-knowledge must go together. He concludes that our education system provides only "map courses" and desperately needs "mirror courses" that help students see their own real face. ➖➖➖➖➖➖ 🎧 Listen to #AcharyaPrashant on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3f0KFwe...
