Acharya Prashant questions the common perception of leadership, challenging the idea that it is inherently sacred or desirable just because it is popular. He points out that many people aspire to lead without truly understanding what leadership entails, often driven by societal praise and the promise of a great future. Using a metaphorical example, he asks if someone who is blind can truly help others cross the road, suggesting that those most eager to lead are often those who lack clarity themselves. He describes a scenario where students are influenced by powerful presentations of historical figures like Mao Zedong, Abraham Lincoln, and Mahatma Gandhi, leading them to believe that leadership is simply about motivating and helping others. Acharya Prashant emphasizes that before one can lead or show others the way, they must first possess the vision and understanding that they intend to provide to others.
