Acharya Prashant explains that the cycle of expectations in relationships is essentially a business of mutual loss. He clarifies that when expectations are not met, people often feel cheated, but in reality, both parties suffer because the very nature of this 'trade' is flawed. He emphasizes that no one is truly cheating the other; rather, both are victims of the same system. He identifies this deceptive force as 'Maya', which operates from within an individual through their emotions, thoughts, and impulses. He asserts that Maya is synonymous with nature and ignorance, and it functions by making us blame others for our internal distress.
