Description

Acharya Prashant explains that true liberation from social and family obligations comes from operating from a different internal center. Using the character Howard Roarke as an example, he notes that if a person is unwilling to be oppressed, no external force—whether it be a college, a workplace, or a father—can twist their arm. Oppression is a binary state; if you allow yourself to be compelled in one area of life, you will be compelled in all others. One cannot live in divisions, being bold in one relationship while remaining timid and conventional in another. If you operate from the right center, all your relationships will reflect that individuality.
