Acharya Prashant responds to a questioner who asks why he is taking the 'juice' (ras) out of life and making it less exciting. The speaker calls the questioner a scared and dishonest man, whose hypocrisy has grown to the point where he now lies openly, not just to himself. He explains that as long as the questioner lied to himself, it was a personal matter, but by lying openly, he has made a mistake and can be caught. To illustrate his point, Acharya Prashant uses an analogy. He asks the questioner to imagine being invited for a meal by a powerful man. This man forces you to clean his house, wash his utensils, and cook the food. He then distributes the food to everyone else and gives you the leftover scraps mixed with water. Out of fear, when asked if you enjoyed the meal, you would praise it profusely. The speaker says this is precisely the questioner's condition: he is so terrified that he calls his own miserable state a 'juicy life.' He lacks the courage to admit his life is bitter and astringent because he fears the world will take his life if he speaks the truth about his actual experience. Acharya Prashant clarifies the concept of 'ras' (essence or juice), stating that the questioner's life has no real 'ras'. If it did, it would not be threatened by a few true words. He refers to the sages who said, 'Raso vai sah,' meaning Truth itself is the real essence. If there is no truth in one's life, there is no 'ras'; life becomes like sugarcane without juice or a mango with only a seed. The questioner's claim that truth spoils the 'ras' of his life proves that his life is tasteless, clumsy, and he has become addicted to it. The speaker addresses the desire for 'excitement' by equating it to the tension and fear one feels when being chased by a mad dog or getting beaten. He sarcastically describes a day filled with such 'excitement'—getting hit, insulted, and abused—and calls the questioner an 'ambassador of falsehood.' He concludes by stating that his work is to fight the lies that the questioner spreads, and they will see who wins.
