Acharya Prashant addresses the conflict of a mind caught between certainty and uncertainty, where one plans for a decade while being unsure of the next moment. He explains that acquiring new knowledge is ineffective because the mind is like an ancient refrigerator filled with prehistoric conditioning and deep-seated patterns. Any new 'apple of knowledge' placed within this old structure will inevitably be corrupted or overwhelmed by the existing contents. Therefore, the solution is not to learn something new, but to undergo a process of 'defrosting' by cutting off the energy supplied to one's old self and opening the doors to let the past out.
