Acharya Prashant discusses three paths of life. The first is the path of false truth, which can also be called the path of Tamas. Tamas is defined as false truth. On this path, you have assured yourself that whatever is, is the truth. You have assured yourself that you have already obtained the ultimate. You are full of self-confidence and have given yourself a pseudo-satisfaction, a certificate that everything in your life and the world is almost right. This is one path. The second path is the path of Rajas, which can be called the path of false falsehood. On this path, you can see that you are in falsehood; you cannot call your falsehood the truth. You feel the need to change your situation, to get something better, and you accept that things should change. You are restless. However, you jump from one falsehood to another, which entices you by appearing as truth. So, your life contains only falsehood. In this state, even a false truth is not present; there is only true falsehood. The speaker explains that the individual soul, the master of life forces, wanders through various species according to its actions. This means that the restless ego wants to try out all the thousands of species, which are all products of the three qualities of nature. In this one life, you experience all the species according to your actions. This is a mental, not a physical, state. For example, when you act like an ant, a rabbit, a fox, or an eagle, you have become that species mentally. The third path is to see that where I am is false, and where I can go while remaining 'I' is also false. The falsehood is not here or there; the falsehood is within me. In fact, 'I' am the falsehood. This is the path of liberation. You don't have to change your situation; you have to change your center. The speaker uses the analogy of a cancer patient who thinks changing hotels will cure the cancer, not realizing the cancer is within. Similarly, the falsehood is within the 'I', and changing external situations or places will not help. The third path is realizing that you are the cancer, which is the path to liberation.
