Description

Acharya Prashant explains that creativity is not a product of the person or the mind, as true creation happens without the aid of past knowledge. Most of what is called creation is merely a new combination of old variables and past patterns. True creativity is illogical, unreasonable, and arises from nothing or the eternal source, which can be called intelligence or God. It is untouched by the past and does not emerge from a mind seeking security or engaged in brainstorming. Because creativity is not an idea, it cannot be organized, planned, or channelized. An egoless, loving, and fearless mind is naturally creative because it is not obsessed with thinking or protecting the ego. Creativity has no motive, purpose, or profit associated with it; therefore, it cannot be cultivated in labs or through purposeful innovation. It occurs only when one surrenders and makes space for the real creator by being silent. Everyone is inherently creative, but this natural state is hindered by conditioning, pressures, and the pursuit of goals. Only a mind that is completely relaxed, secure, and free from worry about the future can experience the spontaneous flow of creativity.
