Acharya Prashant explains that human beings often accept miserable and unfulfilling work because they are lured by the promise of future relief, such as weekends, holidays, or retirement. This expectation of a 'respite' acts as a trap, compelling individuals to endure days or years of slavery in exchange for a few moments of supposed freedom. He argues that if one knew there was no escape or retirement, they would never accept such degrading work. Therefore, the hope for a future celebration or break is actually what enables a life of daily drudgery and compromise. To bring about a revolution in one's life, one must stop living for these periodic escapes and instead refuse to engage in anything that does not align with their true nature.
