In this conversation with PETA President Mimi Bekhechi, Acharya Prashant explores the deeper psychological roots of animal exploitation, compassion, conditioning and the human ego. The discussion questions whether compassion needs to be taught or whether violence is something that gets taught and reinforced through society. Acharya Prashant explains how the way we treat animals can reveal something deeper about how we relate to ourselves, other people and the world around us. The conversation examines how social conditioning shapes what we eat, what we consider acceptable, and even what we call love, kindness and responsibility. The discussion also explores why animal exploitation cannot be viewed in isolation, how the pursuit of comfort, consumption, social approval and comparison can reinforce violence, and why meaningful change requires looking at the source of violence within rather than merely treating its outward expressions. *Key Themes:* * Why violence towards animals is connected to the human ego * Compassion: something to be taught or violence to be unlearned? * How childhood conditioning shapes our relationship with animals * Social conditioning and why different cultures treat animals differently * The connection between animal exploitation, women and other forms of exploitation * Ego, consumption and the search for psychological satisfaction * Why changing external behaviour may not be enough * Inner freedom, compassion and the process of negation * Individual responsibility and the role of personal choices * Why genuine change requires an inward revolution ➖➖➖➖➖➖ 🎧 Listen to #AcharyaPrashant on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3f0KFwe Music Credits: Milind Date
