Acharya Prashant addresses a questioner who is torn between a secure job in AI and a passion for a sports business. He explains that when a person discovers something they truly love, it initially occupies only the margins of their life, such as weekends. He advises giving oneself more fully to this chosen pursuit. As the relationship with the passion project grows through love and dedication, it naturally demands more time and energy. Since human energy is limited, this will inevitably lead to a decrease in performance at the mainstream job. Acharya Prashant suggests that instead of waiting for a conscious moment of courage to quit, one should let the passion project consume their resources until the professional relationship with the unwanted job naturally fractures or leads to being fired, thereby bypassing the fear of decision-making.
