Arjuna’s refusal to fight is rooted not in compassion but in fear, social conditioning, superstition, and blind faith in lok-dharma. The entire Gita is a response to this confusion, and Krishna systematically dismantles Arjuna’s beliefs about caste, women, ritual, heaven, and honor. When Krishna speaks of Swarg, it is not an endorsement, but a strategic argument tailored to Arjuna’s limited understanding. The Gita progresses from the highest non-dual truth to practical action, meeting the seeker where he stands. Selective quoting distorts the Gita; only a contextual reading reveals its radical, liberating message. 🎧 Listen to Acharya Prashant on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/2QmVEAAnsNE7Xs0MW0Li8Y?si=09fbcbc7c99c469b&nd=1&dlsi=2d753e5523df4ceb Music Credits: Milind Date ~~~~~~~
