Acharya Prashant addresses the role and responsibility of society toward a Guru. He explains that society generally does not seek guidance because individuals believe they already understand their duties and responsibilities. People are often trapped in false obligations and worldly duties that they mistake for religion. When a Guru attempts to point out that these perceived duties are actually bondages, it often triggers anger and resistance, especially in older individuals who have invested decades in these false constructs. Admitting a lifelong mistake is difficult for the ego, leading many to reject the Guru's words to protect their self-image.
