Acharya Prashant explains that the primary reason for the large-scale conversion of Hindus throughout history is a lack of singular devotion to the one Truth or Brahman. While Sanatana Dharma is rooted in the worship of the one Truth, it also introduced polytheism to foster a sense of gratitude and friendship toward nature and the world. However, Hindus eventually began worshipping the world and its various elements, completely forgetting the ultimate goal of liberation. When devotion is divided among thousands of deities and rituals, it loses its inherent strength. This divided loyalty makes individuals spiritually weak and susceptible to conversion.
