A person can be rigorously logical and honest in the lab, yet deeply superstitious in personal life, because the center from which inquiry begins remains unexamined. He distinguishes between evolutionary curiosity driven by biology and true self-inquiry driven by awareness. External research into the world does not automatically turn inward to question the “knower.” Science can remove superficial superstitions, but it cannot eliminate the ego, which is the root of all superstition. Real inquiry begins when one questions not just objects outside, but the self within. Without self-knowledge, even intelligence becomes another form of unconscious living. 🎧 Listen to Acharya Prashant on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/2QmVEAAnsNE7Xs0MW0Li8Y?si=09fbcbc7c99c469b&nd=1&dlsi=2d753e5523df4ceb Music Credits: Milind Date ~~~~~~
