Acharya Prashant addresses a question regarding the inability to restore a relationship to its former state after being hurt. He explains that attempting to return to the past is futile because the very state the questioner longs for is what eventually led to the current pain. If that past state had any inherent truth or strength, it would not have crumbled so easily. Truth is characterized by eternity, whereas that which fluctuates or breaks is inherently weak and false. He emphasizes that life presents various situations not for us to settle in, but to transcend and move beyond.
