Acharya Prashant explains that birthdays are not merely reminders of physical birth but are more importantly reminders that one is yet to be truly born. He asserts that a human must be born twice: once as a body and once as the knower of the body. The first birth is incomplete because it is a birth into chains, limitations, and conditioning. From the moment of conception, identities such as gender, race, and culture are imposed, meaning that man is not born free but is born as a set of chains. To be truly born, one must die to these initial limitations and the ignorance of the body-mind.
