Description

Acharya Prashant explains that it is important to understand the relationship between oneself, the world, and the newly inaugurated place, which he refers to as an ashram or home. He clarifies that although it appears to be an external, physical location, one should not perceive it as such. The human eye can be deceptive, and what seems to be true is often not the deep truth. This place should be considered a home, a place to find rest. He defines a true home not as an external place but as a space that is one's own. It is a place where one can be at ease, authentic, and vulnerable, without the need to wear masks, hide things, or carry stress and worry. The ashram has been established to be a home in this real sense—a place where one can be calm and be one's true self. The speaker extends this idea to the relationship between himself and the audience. The love and respect shown to him are not for an outsider but for their own selves. He explains that if he were an outsider, his words would have only a momentary effect, like entertainment. True transformation, a fundamental event, can only happen when one realizes they are listening to their own inner voice through him. He is merely articulating what they already know but don't often tell themselves. He urges the audience to see beyond the physical form. Instead of seeing "someone else's body in front of me," he suggests a different perspective: "my own soul is at my center." He clarifies that all bodies are made of flesh and bone and are transient. The real connection is at the level of the soul. When this is realized, there is no distance or strangeness, and the real can be revealed, bringing great peace. This is a dialogue with the self (Atma-samvad). He concludes by welcoming them to meet themselves in their own home.
