Acharya Ji emphasises that our insecurity and suffering arise from seeking stability and validation from a world that is inherently changing. The discussion also connects self-knowledge, inner independence, desire, consumption, relationships, and the climate crisis, showing how the illusion of separateness shapes our lives. Context: “For your misery to go, you need to go.” “You are your own misery,” “The ego is the mother of all suffering.” “The ego is an error.” “You listen best when you listen as nobody.” “The more you have, the more you want.” “Consumption does not satisfy that appetite; it sharpens it.” “You are not separate from the rest of the universe.” “The problem is not the changing world. The problem is that you are demanding changelessness from that which is bound to change.” “If the solution to the ego is to be vetted by the ego, would the ego ever approve?” 🎧 Listen to Acharya Prashant on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/2QmVEAAnsNE7Xs0MW0Li8Y?si=09fbcbc7c99c469b&nd=1&dlsi=2d753e5523df4ceb Music Credits: Milind Date ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
