Description

Acharya Prashant explains that the human brain is a product of time and space, filled with memories and knowledge derived from the past. Because the brain is composed of these elements, it naturally tends to associate with objects that occupy time and space. This tendency is defined as identification. The more time the brain spends with an object and the closer it is in physical space, the more deeply it identifies with it. This is why individuals identify so strongly with their bodies, parents, religion, and nationality. He points out that while the physical body is constantly changing, the brain's identification creates a false sense of a static identity, which he describes as fictitious and unreal.
